We Sell Seashells...

year round. It's not just a summer thing here at The Attic.

Jade Banded Turbos

Puffy Sand Dollar Biscuits

Abalone Shells
Polished Troca (from Mexico)

And my favorite new arrival are these pretty seashell inlaid metal boxes.

If you don't live near our store and see something you can't live without, just give us a call or email us for more info. We would be happy to put together a pretty collection of seashells for you and ship them in one box.

New Window Display

Vanity: Sold , Crown Window $159

You can click on the image to enlarge it.

Here's a peek at our small window display which features our typewriter necklaces and bracelets. A 1920's Remington typewriter is displayed on a 1940's vanity/desk. I love hearing the comments from people as they pause to look at the old typewriter. We had a vintage empty frame hanging around so we had glass cut for it and added our signature gold crown. It is hanging above the desk..so awesome!

We have the small window display done and now it's on to the bigger window...

These Are A Few Of Our Favorite Things...

Love this rusty iron planter! Filled it with sea fans today. The top piece actually lifts off and the base can serve as a table.
*Sold*, and a little sad to see it go so soon!

This old green painted crate stole all of our hearts. One of those things that we will definitely have to enjoy for a time before deciding on a price. It holds the candles perfectly. It would also be cute on a beach cottage porch to hold shoes. :)

What a great table...all 6 feet of it! It has 2 drop down sides and will seat 4 on each side. ( Chairs are sold )

This little industrial typewriter stand is perfect for a laptop!
It's just adorable with the old blue paint, chippy and all. Just lift the sides up for extra work space if you need it. The wooden wheels make it easy to move it where you need it.

How adorable is this?!!! A little red and cream kitchen stool. If we would have had it before the Fourth of July, this would have been in the window with the blue typewriter table. Eeeeeee!!! I can hardly stand the cuteness of this stool!

This Way to The Attic

Check out our new sign. :) The locals know where to find us, but since we are located off the main avenue, some tourists need a little encouragement to make it around that corner.

We chose 3 photos to give everyone a little glimpse into the shoppe, and place it along Orange Avenue which is the main traffic street. I think it's working because we have seen the numbers increase since we put it out this past week!

What's In Store This Week

Wow, I think we set a new record in furniture sales this week. It's officially tourist season! This is great news because it means we have room for NEW pieces!
We love giving the store a new look and we started with the small window display today. The store was looking a little empty today as 2 large pieces left and one more is leaving on Wednesday. We will have more coming in later this week so I will be sure to add photos as they come in.

Love this vintage metal barrister bookcase * Industrial chic at it's best!

Filled with seashells at the moment, but perfect for books or a special collection. We love it and know you will too! The cherub lamp is a favorite of mine, even with the missing panels. I love it just the way it is...would be sweet with a beaded light bulb cover. A neat large bust with rhinestone crown is also new this week.
*Edit* Just sold the lamp on Wednesday...kind of sad to see it go! :(

A great old set of metal folding chairs, priced individually but I bet ya can't buy just one! We also have a set of 4 in the BEST shade of turquoise! These are perfect summer chairs for unexpected guests. :) They fold right up and be easily stored.

Turquoise chairs are sold and are on their way to Arizona!

Architectural Salvage

These vintage windows from remodeled homes in Coronado are being repurposed by The Attic into something beautiful to hang inside your home. These smaller windows are harder to come by and it's been awhile since we've been able to offer them. If you've been wanting one, be sure to come by the store soon because they never last long!

*EDIT* Both windows sold on July 5th, but we will be getting more mid week.

I know I said they don't last long, but I didn't expect to sell both of them today!

We normally offer windows with the following choices:

Coronado with the crown
Coronado Cafe with a crown
Coronado Island with a crown

Land Of The Free

Hope everyone enjoyed their Independence Day. The town was buzzing with excitement and I snapped a few pics before the parade got underway. Hundreds of volunteers carried the flags which would line the center median 2 hours before the parade would begin.

I was inside the store for most of it but I did sneak away to get this shot of Mayor Casey Tanaka waving to the crowd. Love the flip flops.

The sun was out and it was a gorgeous day. The Attic Girls were pretty tired by days end, but we are open today so I had better get in gear as I'm opening the show. :)
