Lights Out...

2010 has been an amazing year for us here at the shop. We are blessed. Life threw us a few curve balls, but it only made us work that much harder. Through it all, we learned the true definition of "teamwork" and formed a stronger bond. Our business continues to grow, and we have the BEST customers we could ask for! We thank you from the bottom of our heart.

As I was closing the shop on New Year's Eve, the lights were all out except for our window lights. I took this photo as I stood in the back of the store..watching and listening to people as they scurried past. Comments ranged from "oh! look at what they did with the mannequin's dress..they hung ornaments on it like a tree!" Another lady stopped with her kids and she reminded them that this was her favorite store. Another said they wanted to "come back to this store tomorrow!" I'll be honest here..I was wondering if anyone might say something that was... not so nice, and if they did, how would I feel? Oh well...everything was positive, so no worries!

Well...we are so excited to begin a New Year. Planning for the next season, new merchandise that you won't see anywhere else in town, new window displays, a bit of fresh paint and maybe even a little remodel at the checkout to make life a bit easier.

If you have any comments or suggestions on what you might like to see at The Attic, by all means...let us know! We'd love to hear from you.

The Girls Stopped By Today

Meet Carly, Cade and Cassi.

Since we are located next to a doggie salon, we receive frequent visits from the "fur friends" in the neighborhood. This must have been the most popular day of the month for dog grooming... I counted 6 in the 3 hours I was at the shop today! I just had to take a few pictures of these cuties.

Cassi loved our rhinestone starfish hair clip, but opted for the simpler pearl barrettes. I think you made the right choice, Cassi.

Carly was a little reluctant to have her photo taken with a wrap around pearl bracelet. With all that hair, you can barely see it! So the girls left with their pearl barrettes and one headband, for Mom. :)

A Vintage Love Affair

We were pleasantly surprised when we received this email with engagement photos from a wonderful couple who visited us earlier this year. Thank you Brandon and Jackie, for sharing this special event with us! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.

Good Morning!

This is Jackie from Gilbert, Arizona. My fiance, Brandon, bought me a vintage red dress from your shop for my 25th birthday this year. It's been sitting in our closet patiently waiting to make it's debut at our engagement shoot. Oh, I love it so.....

As promised, I have attached a few pictures from our 50's styled engagement shoot. We hope you enjoy & thank you for so much for finding this amazing dress.

We'll see you next time we're in Coronado....

Happy Holidays!

- Brackie

Christmas At Our House

As a shop owner, we are constantly fluffing the store, changing the displays and planning the next window change. We often hear the comment that "our homes must be decorated so beautifully!" Well...if you only knew! I put all of my decorating energy into the shop, so our home wasn't actually at the top of the list! This year's tree was scaled way down from years past. With the help of my little elf, we decided that a small tree would suit us just fine.

Isn't she cute?

Our sweet little pink tinsel tree perched on a vintage pink bird bath.

Can you tell we love vintage ornaments?

Give me pink, blue and silver.

No red. No Green. No Santa or Snowmen.

Uh-oh, I lied. I have a Santa and he's a jolly PINK fellow!

We had an abundance of vintage ornaments that wouldn't fit on a 3 foot tree, but we still wanted to enjoy them. We placed them in urns, under cloches and filled a jardiniere.

A vintage bird ornament lost her original tail years ago.
She now flaunts a pink millinery plume that Jenna removed from a hat!

One of my favorite vintage bottle brush wreaths.

I'll share my partner's Christmas decor if time allows.

Girls, are you game?
Send me your pics!
