The Fourth of July in Coronado

We are just days away from celebrating one of the greatest holidays of the year!
Coronado is my favorite place to be on the Fourth of July and being a military town makes it all the more special!

There is so much to do during the day and the evening fireworks display is always magnificent! We will be open with extended hours, from 9am until 7pm. Stop by and enjoy a glass of sparkling french lemonade, cookies and a box of Cracker Jacks for the kids.

Owls Are Hanging Around The Attic

...and new earrings too.

I took a stroll around The Attic on my recent work day , so I thought I would take you along to see what's new! We are loving the new jewelry in this week...Owl Necklaces, rhinestone Anchor Necklaces, pretty summer earrings & FUN beaded rings that jiggle!

Our other new arrivals are these Coronado pillows designed by Kandi.

Our newest furniture pieces would be this super cute harvest table which was custom crafted by Jon! He started with a set of vintage table legs and worked his magic. It is awesome and I want one! He will be taking special orders so if you want a solid well built table, give us a shout and we can give you the particulars.

This black painted credenza would be a great stand for a flat screen. It has lots of storage underneath. A great piece that has been attracting a lot of attention since arriving last week.

Crackled Pink Beauty

This old pink bookcase had been weathering outside for years, but The Attic Girls saw something beautiful and knew she deserved a second chance. We had Jon remove the back to let the light shine through, add glass shelving and just clean it up a bit. No painting necessary!

Would you get a load of that old pink alligator paint finish? I want to HUG the person who painted it pink! We love it, and it is sitting behind our buffet as you enter the store. It's a great display piece and we are keeping it all for ourselves at the moment. :)

Arizona Girls On The Island

We are starting to see the tourists here in Coronado, and we love our Arizona friends! They come to escape the 100 degree plus temperature. Can you blame them? Well, I have to tell you about a fun group of gals who came in to The Attic recently. They all made jewelry purchases and one even left with an extra one on her wrist. They had lunch and then realized she was wearing one with a tag that she forgot to pay for! LOL...We all had the best laugh over that one when they returned, and I promised I would not point her out in the lineup. Hee hee.... Thanks for coming in girls and come back soon!

If I Could Run Away From Home...

Lately, The Attic has discovered that we have a little fan club of middle school girls. They come in every week after school to look at our newest jewelry since we get new arrivals each week. They have so much fun..talking about boys, trying on fun jewelry, vintage hats, taking pictures and getting matching necklaces..like these typewriter key necklaces.

I may have lost track but I think the original 2 girls have now grown to 6, and they all come in wearing their initial necklaces. They are so cute, and always say how they " want to move in here!" As one was paying she said, " If I could run away from home, this is where I'd go!" I smiled and told her that was a very sweet compliment. :)
