Wardrobe trunks and suitcases such as this were made in the early 1920's-30's, and most had drawers on one side and hangers with rods on the other. This one has compartments but not any drawers. The old luggage weighs
a ton when empty. I don't know how they ever managed when it was filled with clothing and shoes! This one was definitely used a lot as it is missing some of the leather trim. They make great extra storage boxes, and you can stack 3 or 4 to make a bedside table.

Oh, are the wheels ever turning on how to use this piece in the shop. I see this with scarves on the hangers and rolling others inside the different compartments.
