...a couple who visited our store a few weeks back. SHE fell in love with this dresser and a tall lingerie chest. HE returned a few days later (alone) to see them and decided to surprise her for Valentine's Day. They BOTH returned a few days ago and she walked towards the 2 pieces with the saddest look on her face when she saw the SOLD tags hanging on them. He walked behind her and winked to the one standing at the register. She had no idea that he had been in days earlier and purchased them for her...she was really upset about it and he kept a straight face. Yesterday, they were delivered to the house while she was at work. I'm sure she was thrilled when she opened her bedroom door. I gave him a little tip and said to lay a red rose across the dresser for an extra added touch. `o)
As he was paying for his purchases, I had to ask, half kidding..."you must be still dating, right?" He smiled.."yes, three years" he replied with a huge grin on his face. I have the feeling he would have done the same had he been married for 20 years to her. He was just that kind of guy, ladies...
