Holiday Open House...You're Invited!

We hope you will join us on Friday, December 3rd for our annual Holiday Open House. Our theme this year is Christmas By The Sea...and wait until you see what we have created! The Attic Girls have created a variety of handmade ornaments for you over the past few months. Truly a labor of love! We have also collected many vintage ornaments throughout the year that we know will bring back memories and warm your heart.

This will be Coronado's 35th Annual Christmas Parade with the lighting of the tree following the parade. Shops will be open until 9pm this day, so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the festivities and shop your favorite stores.

Schedule:
Santa arrives at the Ferry Landing : 3:20
Snow mountain at the Ferry Landing: 3-8pm
Parade starts at 1st St. 6:00pm
Tree Lighting 7:00pm

We will be serving sips & nibbles from 5-8:30pm.
It's a great night to catch up with old friends...make new friends, see our latest finds and amazing gifts that we have collected for this special day!

One Last Tweak To The Window

The window was missing a little something...so Kandi added a few ornaments to this vintage tulle dress and the rest was history...

She filled the gap perfectly!

We're Making Progress...

Today was the day that the visions which danced in our heads over the past few months come to reality. Our collection of handmade seaside themed ornaments include glittered shells, altered art mermaids, jellyfish urchins, capiz shell crowns and Hotel Del ornaments...all a labor of love.

Just days before twirling the window, we were still undecided on the floor covering, but that little light bulb went off in my head as I was laying in bed one night.. line the windows with embellished sea fans, lighted sea urchins, and waves of champagne colored tulle to simulate the ocean floor. We LOVE it!

A vintage aqua tulle prom dress made the perfect tree skirt.

A beautiful reflection of lights played off the glass and mirror.

After an 8 hour day, the small window is nearly complete. We have one more little addition to the window planned for tomorrow, which I can't wait to see how it turns out! Next we will begin the task of setting up the vintage holiday decorations..one of my favorite displays. We should be completely set up by Saturday afternoon. Follow along as I share the remaining holiday vignettes with you here on the blog!

Back by popular demand...our Hotel Del ornament. We have these with a snow scene or sand and shells. Exclusively ours, designed and created by Jane.

A special thank you goes out to Christine for making us the Christmas By The Sea window banner. We adore it AND you...thank you so much!

As Hard As I Tried...

I just couldn't help but share...
this teenie tiny sneak peak!

Kandi really outdid herself on these
seaside mermaid ornaments.

We will begin decorating for the holiday next week...
The Attic Girls will be twirling the window
into a display of treasures from the sea.

...and this is just a little preview

of our handcrafted ornaments in our
Christmas By The Sea collection.

We have so many other ornaments that complete our collection....

but you'll have to wait!

I'll be sharing them all just as soon as they hit the floor!

Love Them Both...

We have 2 more arrivals in the chest of drawers department....

and I'm having a hard time picking a favorite!

This one would make a great buffet.

Curvy serpentine drawers and gorgeous birdseye maple.

Black is the new white, and this one is a stunner!

Glitter Girls At Work

I'm usually not one of those crafty glitter girls, but when I saw Martha Stewart's video on glittering seashells..I thought, why not?

My kitchen counter turned into glitter highway..messy, but fun.

If you decide to make some for yourself, be sure to drill your hole BEFORE you glitter. I realized after glittering half that they were not all drilled..oh well. I guess I can always do a touch up! Still have to add the hanger on these. They will be hanging on the store tree any day now!

Jenna even joined in and she said I have to "give her props" on the pink and gold beauty below.

Window Shopping

We just added this antique oak highboy to our window this week. Original hardware and wheels. The wood grain is gorgeous and the photo does not do it justice! Great size for a smaller space with lots of storage.
